Here's a picture from the heyday of Bigger Thomas taken at the QE2 in Albany, NY sometime in 1989 or 1990. The look of pure joy on Roger's face-- let alone the height on his leap -- is in stark contrast to the look of concentration and fear on my face!
Here's some American ska history! 35 years ago my band Bigger Thomas (then known as Panic! & the 1st ska band from the Garden State) played our 1st show at the legendary Court Tavern in New Brunswick, NJ. Read about it & see rare video of the performance. Link in profile!
The first show Bigger Thomas ever played in NYC was opening for the NY Citizens at the Cat Club in October 1988! They don't get the credit they deserve as a great American ska band on par with The Bosstones. Link in profile to read more about them & how they helped us out!

Excited to share the mockup for my new book about the The English Beat and their Special Beat Service LP out later this summer. The photo was taken by noted music photographer Ebet Roberts at Lincoln Center in NYC in 1980 during the band’s first US tour with The Pretenders.
Our new Book Club is out with author Marc Wasserman discussing his new book Sole Salvation. He and I go deep on our love for the The English Beat and dave wakeling and how their music changed our lives for the better. The book is great! Enjoy! thehustle.podbean.com/e/book-club-ma…
