Southport already has a special place in our hearts as we have family there. I can't imagine the pain felt by the community. The brutal murders & attempted murders of beautiful children & the heroic adults trying to protect them is utterly sickening. This cannot happen again.

Those rioting in Southport seek only to hijack the murders of children to incite division, fear and violence, furthering their own shameful agenda. It's disgusting, and so disrespectful to those directly affected yesterday. Contemptible.

In November far right thugs rioted in Dublin like they are in Southport tonight. Leo Varadkarโ€™s response has stayed with me: โ€œThey did not do it because they love Ireland, out of any sense of patriotism, or to protect Irish people. They did it because theyโ€™re filled with hate.โ€

This is how Southport responded. A group of around 100 members of the community are repairing damage to the local mosque, seen here rebuilding a wall. St Lukeโ€™s Road, last night strewn with rubble and debris, has already been cleared.

Katharine Birbalsingh The Alliance for Responsible Citizenship To assume you speak for the people of Southport who are currently clearing up the mess of others, and then try and promote yourself off the back of this tragedy. You really need to take a rain check.

Heard this said today on Radio 2 and it made me think... ''If you read, you live 1000 lives. If you don't read, you only live 1." Learning to read isn't just about opening the doors of opportunity. It enables us to understand and appreciate the lives of others and grow. ๐Ÿ“•

We had the enormous pleasure of hearing from Keith Grint as our Whole Education Summer Conference. His keynote speech was fantastically thought-provoking and made for compelling listening. Congratulations on the new book! Looking forward to reading it. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

It is one minute past midnight, and the embargo has lifted, so hereโ€™s a thing Iโ€™ve waited nineteen months to be able to say: no school will ever receive a single-word/phrase judgement again. They are gone, they are historyโ€ฆ
