There have been some great girls' rugby achievements over the last few weeks. Annabelle Platt in Year 9, Tilly Smethurst in Year 11 and Georgie Richardson in Year 12 have all been selected to play for Dorset & Wilts RFU teams.

Huge congratulations to Grace P in Year 11. Over Easter Grace played in the U16's UEFA.com Development tournament for @walesschoolsfa Grace played against Switzerland and Denmark and received her first 2 caps.

It was lovely to welcome Danish students and staff from Tonder Gymnasium School this week. They enjoyed playing some 'competitive' sport with our Sixth Form students. Many thanks to @MuseumAthelstan and Malmesbury Council for leading their town tour.

Today we took 30 KS3 students to watch the Northern Ireland Vs Austria Women's Euro's Football game in Southampton. It was fantastic to see so many students engaging in women's football and enjoying the game. Fantastic play by both teams and a brilliant win for Austria! ⚽

It’s been great to welcome back ex – student Joe Hughes , who is an ex – European boxing champion. Joe has been working with students from Years 7 and 8. They have benefited from learning boxing skills, improving fitness, and working on qualities like focus and resilience.

News of the National Schools Equestrian Association showjumping Championships from half term. Of the 7 riders from Malmesbury Joe Collings was 3rd (75cm class) and won the 85cm class. In the 95cm Holly 4th, Joe 5th, the Malmesbury team of Joe, Amelie, Georgia and Emily 8th. Thanks to all who run the teams

This weekend our U17 Girls Ultimate Frisbee team went to Bristol to compete at the UK Junior Women’s Indoor National Champs. Playing v teams from across the country the girls had some impressive wins, finishing 9th in the UK. Even more impressive, most of our team are from Year 9

News of another outstanding achievement from one of our ex - students. At school Willa Gibb (on the left) was one of the country's top junior hurdlers. Now she is in the Team GB bobsleigh team. Here's a photo taken in Norway whilst training.

Great news from the Malmesbury School show jumping team ( Joe , Nev , Emily , Georgia ) Over the weekend we won the county qualifiers so now will represent Wiltshire at the Nicky Armour Nationals which are at Hickstead in May. Joe also won individually so will represent Wiltshire.
