Today, we made 'blood' in class as part of our unit on 'le système circulatoire'. We talked about the composition of blood and how it carries oxygen to the body and eliminates carbon dioxide. Martin Street PS

What a great way to end our volleyball season! The girls had a blast tonight at the @CentChargers tournament. It was amazing to see how much progress the girls have made in six weeks. I am so proud of our Martin Street PS Junior Girls Volleyball team! ❤️🏐

My class really enjoyed designing their own cereal boxes for our Media Literacy unit. They had to come up with a name, a mascot and a slogan, and then try to sell their cereal in a 30-second commercial.

Today, we had a boys vs. girls junior volleyball game to officially end the season. It was SO much fun! These 24 grade 5 and 6 students have made amazing progress this year. Boys placed 1st, 3rd and 2nd in their tournaments and the girls placed 4th, 4th and 3rd! 🏐 Martin Street PS

We had a great time with our kindergarten reading buddies today. Our walk around Mill Pond was so peaceful and beautiful! 🌞 Martin Street PS

For Science this week, we mixed different powders (salt, sugar, flour and sand) into water to see if they are 'soluble' or 'insoluble'. We also compared how fast these powders dissolve in hot vs. cold water. This may have been a simple activity, but they all loved it!🔬
