The basaltic rocks at Katla have fairly mantle-like oxygen isotope ratios whereas the silicic rocks have noticeably low ratios, suggesting they interacted with Icelandic crust with a modified oxygen isotope signature (low d¹⁸O crust) 🧵2/3
