Working with local activists and youth groups in the midst of a hot season at a small growing town in Galmudug state in central Somalia. The demand for conflict prevention and serious reconciliation were the main critical and crucial themes invariably discussed by local elders.

Our first priority is to ensure a bottom-up community-level approach for peace-building process among conflict-prone local communities in our war-torn societies, especially those inhabiting in-border (sub)clan-held areas where armed conflicts have become a daily reality.
