I began the Michigan Summer Tour 2019 in Sanilac County on May 8th near Lake Huron and conclude tonight in Ontonagon County on the shores of Lake Superior. 15 Districts. 83 Counties. 1 great State. 600+ amazing MSU colleagues. Life is good. #MSUExtension

Irma talked about her pride living in historic Oakman Boulevard neighborhood in northwest Detroit. A lifelong gardener, she loves planting trees at her home & watching them grow. We are proud to plant new MSU Extension roots on Oakman Boulevard at our Focus: HOPE location.

Great to have a chance to greet Sen. Debbie Stabenow and express my thanks before testifying before the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry.

This summer I spent 15 weeks on the road, visiting staff and stakeholders in all 83 Michigan counties. I saw the ongoing challenges and risks that farmers take to feed the world.
