The only code the unwrap can be used in is the test code. Don't even try telling me that sometimes you must use unwrap for some reason in a production code including libraries. This is a skill issue.

This is actually so sad. Command line and TUI apps must be shipped as fast and non bloated binaries, not as gigabytes of TS slop

Gentoo has been my daily driver on all my devices since 2009. Never had any major issues with it since then. The rest of the distros I've tried before switching to it were breaking for different reasons. I tried all major distros that were available at that time including Scratch
