The DHSC expects this public consultation to happen as soon as possible this year.

The draft guidance will go through a full public consultation which will be an opportunity for members of the public to give their views on what they think of the guidance and requirements of LAs and the NHS.

DHSC is currently updating the Autism Act Statutory Guidance to support the NHS and local authorities to deliver improved outcomes for autistic people. Our chance to influence the future.

The ICB Executive Lead will also be responsible for working with local partners, including local authorities to address inequalities in health outcomes for people with a learning disability and autistic people. Do they have the answer to autistic adults and mental health?

One of the key areas of work for the ICB executive lead will include supporting the board to understand and meet its statutory duties, including in relation to the Autism Act (2009) and the Autism Statutory Guidance, which supports implementation of the autism strategy. Do they?

Each ICB is expected to have an Executive Lead for learning disability and autism to support them to deliver care and support for autistic people. How many ICBs are doing this? Are they doing this effectively?
