The sad reality of being an Olympic athlete. Unlike other sports there is no next year! You can be the greatest but you must be the greatest on the day to be Olympic champion. But that’s also what makes it so special.

Most sports, especially in sub-Saharan Africa is played outdoors. During breaks, players will mostly sit under a tree shade. Not many sports grounds have changing rooms or anything close to it. Trees in these areas therefore serve a very critical part of providing a cool place
