Good luck to our bursary recipients nominated this weekend at the Olivier Awards: Ash J Woodward for his video design in Dear England, Isley Trans Solidarity Lynn for their play The Swell and Mark Smith for his choreography in The Little Big Things.

Love Steps is a play that Writer Anastasia Osei-Kuffour developed with the help of our bursary in 2019, a fusion of poetry, music and dance that opens today at the Omnibus Theatre. Do not miss it!

We supported Mark Smith in 2022 to transition his career from choerographer to director. His choreography work has been nominated for the Gillian Lynne Award for Best Theatre Choreographer at the Olivier Awards 2024.

Isley Trans Solidarity Lynn´s play Revolutions was developed with the help of our bursary in 2016. Her play The Swell at the Orange Tree Theatre has been nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Affiliate Theatre at the Olivier Awards 2024.

Our bursary in 2017 allowed Ash J Woodward to buy software and equipment. He has now been nominated for the Blue-i Theatre Technology Award for Best Video Design at the Olivier Awards 2024 for his work in Dear England at the National Theatre.

Writer Margaret Perry, who we supported in 2017, is part of David Byrne’s exciting debut season at the Royal Court. Her theatre adaptation of Bluets will be directed by Katie Mitchell, and the cast includes MGCfutures patron Ben Wishaw.
