The anime does an amazing job with this scene with its directing. Having his third eye glow when he makes his decision, the dark clouds that fill the skies are clearing up and revealing the sun. His true self has awakened, he's enlightened.

Quite the upgrade I'd say.

Love this cute updated group illustration of the Dragon Team. Tells you Tenshinhan and Chaotzu will be sticking around after this arc.

Look at the legend's dedication to his job. There is no way you can hate this man.

I like this addition added to the anime after the fight is over. The crowd comes over to congratulate Goku and Tenshinhan for their fight. And Roshi's speech to Tenshinhan, encouraging him as he begins his new path in the light. Gives me Mr. Miyagi vibes when Roshi nods.

This scene hits man in both the manga and anime. What a cliffhanger to end the arc on.
