For years, women’s charities have called for prison reform, saying prison is not safe for women with mental health problems, or those with domestic abuse histories. We echo Women in Prison's call for the govt to prioritise prevention over criminalisation. bit.ly/3Ad8COz

Being released from prison early is bittersweet if there are no support networks to help with the transition - such as finding somewhere to live and getting a job, and getting your head in the right place. It may just result in more recalls.
