Their Honours send warm wishes to His Majesty The King on #VictoriaDay . This holiday was originally created in 1845 to honour Queen Victoria’s birthday, and has since been celebrated as the official birthday of Canada’s sovereign.
Nova Scotians gathered at Point Pleasant Park, Halifax, to pay tribute to the brave souls of the Royal Canadian Navy, Royal Canadian Air Force, & Canadian Merchant Navy, who fearlessly served during the Battle of the Atlantic from Sept. 3, 1939, to May 8, 1945.

To honour the legacy of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a portrait was unveiled at Province House on April 30. It commemorates her visit to Nova Scotia during the 2010 Royal Tour. The public is invited to view the portrait in the Red Chamber at Nova Scotia Legislature
