Ominous looking skies as the team work hard to set up our emergency pumps to draw down water levels following a mechanical failure at one of our Pumping Stations. A big thank you to the local Environment AgencySE ops team who have lent us some extra pipes and bits ! 😃 #teamwork

With the recent unsettled weather, our emergency pumps are still on site and working hard to restore water levels while our failed pump station motor is repaired. Our workforce doing a great job as always.

What a great day on the north Kent marshes assisting RSPB RSPB for our annual team volunteering day. We cut back lots of willow to encourage regrowth to feed the many birds on the marsh and increase biodiversity, and created a willow fence as a hibernacula 🐜🦋🐦‍⬛🦤

A positive morning of engagement with staff and Board members today with a focus on ADA Environmental Good Governance Guidance and our Biodiversity Action Plans. Topped off after lunch with a (luckily) sunny site visit to a pump station.

Ditches are used for fly-tipping all over the country and our adopted watercourse is no different. Remember if you spot this crime being committed, please report it to the police. A big thankyou to our team for removing and thankyou to Swale BC for collecting.

Clearing watercourses next to busy main roads can be a dangerous task. Please consider those who have to clear the mess, and ensure these watercourses remain free flowing especially with the unsettled weather. Take your rubbish home with you! Thanks to our team for clearing!

We thought this was a great reminder from @W4IDB & decided to steal~ (retweet) the post. Our Clerk is not a fan of Eels (they make her a little squeamish), but we are happy that our newly completed pump stations are fish friendly and will allow safe passage on their journey 🌎
