Where does the figure 650,000 come from? It’s not what Brad Tinkle et al say in this ‘peer reviewed’ paper published in 2017. Surely such information about prevalence should be ‘evidence-based’ when trying to raise awareness with the general public? ehlers-danlos.com/wp-content/upl…

I had such an enjoyable day yesterday Clinical Pharmacy Congress catching up with friends - old & new - and attended some really interesting sessions. The feedback on my talk was really heartening after sharing my own personal 10-year deprescribing case study using nutrition to manage my health

“Round says the study is one of the first to identify specific organisms within the human microbiota that can ameliorate a behavioral deficit associated with GI stress. “This is an example where we are missing microbes, and missing these beneficial microbes is driving disease.””

Interesting finding. Reasons for shifting the balance of dietary intake towards more omega-3 rich foods (e.g. fish, seafood, green vegetables, nuts, etc) and away from omega-6 seed oils seem to continue to grow.

So, I'm blocked here, but caught this in another account. How can T EDS possibly suggest #EDS and #HSD run in barely 650,000 in the US?? Maybe they meant 6,500,000? That's more realistic IMO. Hat tip Lisa Jamieson for catching this.

Leaders, true leaders should find apologising easy. That is not to say glib, but easy… ... because true leadership is based on integrity and trust and saying sorry demonstrates accountability, integrity and a true intent to make amends. myemail-api.constantcontact.com/The-gap.html?s…

This doesn’t only apply to athletes. I’m rubbish at sports but I’ve found it’s a good thing to embrace any stressful or challenging situation. Whether you win ugly, or slowly, it doesn’t matter. Seeing stress and knockbacks as necessary for growth leads to a win in the end. 💪

It's now 10 years since I started my recovery from my spontaneous spinal cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak. CSF Leak Association never ceases to amaze me at how such a small charity - with such a tiny turnover - can achieve such great things. Newsletter July 2024: mailchi.mp/csfleak.uk/new…
