We can learn a lot from North East & North Cumbria integrated care system North East and North Cumbria NHS & their approach to improvement. Their goal isn't to "be the best" but to "be the best at getting better". This helps create a shared mission to build capability for change & to always keep

Many organisations in health and care are shifting from the language of "quality improvement" to "continuous improvement". Here's a couple of graphics that highlight the power of continuous improvement. The first is adapted from QuotedVisually. The second is by @melodie_ltd

Richard Genever Elective & Emergency Care Improvement Support Team a hospital admission greater than 3 weeks carries mortality risk which is 15,375 higher than skydiving. The risk compounds the longer you stay. If we wouldn’t prescribe skydiving why do we think keeping people in hospital helps keep them safe? 🤔

Our new Aintree Reablement Unit supports patients to return home who no longer require hospital care, but have functional impairments due to illness, by building up their strength & independence. It helps to regain functionality, such as getting dressed & walking by themselves💙
