You called David Hamilton should not be the everyday SS?? If you did and I disagreed with you then I apologize.

The best Manager in the history of the game CANNOT turn bad defensive players into good ones at this level. Want to be better defensively? Sign/trade for better defensive players. Pretty simple actually.

When Refsnyder is back in a week or so, you have to wonder. OF would be covered w/4th OF/platoon with Abreu and give O’Neill day off when needed. Ceddane may struggle thru the transition but the difference is is that over time, there would be feeling that he would be just fine.

As we saw with Story, SS holds your entire defensive infield together. Identify your best defensive SS and put him there. I wish I could sleep

The Red Sox' defense has been a mess: 13 unearned runs in 54 innings since Trevor Story's injury, and through 13 games, their infield defense has been among the worst in the big leagues. Again. On a glaring problem and its consequences: bostonglobe.com/2024/04/12/spo… via The Boston Globe

If I can survive the people of Boston, apparently driving in the rain for the first time in their lives, I’ll be joining The Gresh & Fauria Show today. At some point!!!!

Red Sox batters have a 27% strikeout rate so far, which is 28th, ahead of MIN and SEA.

The problem has been worst in high leverage spots, 36% Ks in 44 plate appearances. That ranks last, when the league average is 22%.

Why do we have so many arm injuries? This video is sad. All that matters is velocity. He never even looks anywhere close to the plate. Doesn’t care if it’s a strike or not. Doesn’t worry about locating it. Just “how hard was it”.

There is no Tommy John surge this spring -- it's just always this bad since ~2014. Today marks the 100th day of the year, a period during when most elbow injuries occur. We looked at the first 100 days of each year re: TJS procedures for MLB and all pro pitchers since Tommy John…

Pedro isn’t buying the pitch clock excuse apparently. Not sure why anyone would. Great thread from the greatest.

I agree. Figure out when to play it. Only when winning!! When the game is tied!! Maybe down 1 run to get the crowd going. Trailing by 6 doesn’t feel right.
