Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is observed on Dec. 7, to remember and honor the 2,403 Americans who were killed in the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii on Dec. 7, 1941, which led to the U.S. declaring war on Japan the next day and thus entering World War II.

Today I had the honor of joining State Rep. Valerie Gaydos on a flight w/the 171st Air Refueling Wing in Coraopolis. After the flight, we attended the US Strategic Command Presentation of the Omaha Trophy which recognizes the best unit of USSTRATCOM. Congratulations to the 171st!
