As some of you know, we are making an asymmetric 4vs1 prototype, called 'Blood Thrill - Permotio Sanguis'. Features a ruthless killer completing a blood ritual versus 4 determined survivors that seek to escape. At the moment we are doing one of the killers, a Blood Harvester.

It is a prototype so the multiplayer aspect is altered: we are doing a little AI for the survivors while you control the Killer. I am hardworking on a GDD that I will publish soonish™ to my website guillermoamigo.com, with the exe for the project for you to try too ;)

So we have been experimenting on different attacks for the killer, that feel fair for both teams, give a good punch and also require some degree of knowledge to get the most out of them. We want cool attacks that require some thinking and have a good skill ceiling to them.

As of now, our killer has a potent melee attack and a special attack that slows them down while using. I am planning on having up to two special attacks + melee for each killer designer, so players have more choice and the killer has a bit more depth without overwhelming.

Also please keep in mind these are early prototypes so we lack a bit of proper VFX/models and feedback, like sound/impacts on some of them, especially the last ones. Also! please forgive me for the massacre I did to the UI too, I want to change it badly :(

Our first one is the Blood Drain Ray: - It's a forward drain ray with a fixed distance. - Low Damage, can be canceled and collides with objects. - Drains stamina slowly. - Require some aiming (it has aim help), can be pointed in any direction but it can be blocked by objects.

The second attack, and Lorena González 's favorite, is the Blood Spike, a powerful spike of blood summoned from the floor up. - Summons a Blood Spike at desired distance. - Great damage. - Drains all stamina per use. - Can be used behind walls and vertically.

The third idea we had, and my personal favorite, is the Blood Orb, a dodgeable but deadly orb of flying blood. - Slow-moving orb with a fixed duration. - Low constant damage when in contact. - Drains stamina per use - Can be pointed in any direction and can go through walls

Our fourth and last idea (per now) is the Blood Wave, reminiscent of some of Doom's attacks: -Fast-moving wave of blood at a fixed height. -Can be dodged, causes great damage. -Can be partially blocked by obstacles, segmenting the wave. -Drains half the stamina.
