A step closer to freedom! Last year 120 Endangered #AfricanGrey #Parrots were confiscated in #Uganda. Following rehabilitation at UWEC the first group has been transferred to a release aviary & will soon make their way again in the wild.

The parrots were seized in from a Congolese trafficker in Kasese following collaborations between @ConservCongo World Parrot Trust @Wti_org_india ifaw Uganda Wildlife Authority. The trafficker pleaded guilty and received a sentence of 7 years in Uganda's Wildlife Court.
