A couple in the coffee shop ordered soup today, so when I took it over to them I tried to look as unsteady as I could without dropping it and said "two soups" and they just looked at me blankly.

Such a great start to a Sunday. Our Armed Forces Veterans Breakfast Club met at The Sussex Arms. It's a place for our veterans to meet and chat and connect. Honoured to meet former RSM Brendan Laffan again from Royal Hospital Chelsea . Well done Andy White for raising funds for the group.

On this day in 1943, the Whitehall Cinema in East Grinstead was bombed, resulting in the deaths of 108 people, of whom about one third were children. Surely the saddest day in the history of East Grinstead.
