"People from minoritised and racialised groups... must not be penalised for missed appointments, especially if alternative access such as telephone appointments are not possible" Welcome statement from National Voices during hugely scary time which makes care access harder for many.

Clinical research is good for patients, the NHS and the economy. But in a health service under pressure, it’s often seen as important but not urgent. Our new briefing outlines why embedding research is fundamental to transforming the NHS. ⬇️ bit.ly/3zg3s4q

Clinical research unlocks access to new treatments while attracting life science💰. It's vital in areas like dementia where we lack treatments. This great new briefing from AMRC highlights why research needs to be a central to the NHS 10 year plan 👇 shorturl.at/ENCIY

We’re proud to support the new APPG for Life Sciences, who have called on the Chancellor to back UK life sciences in #Budget2024. This cross-party group of MPs and peers has called for protected research funding & tax reliefs to ensure we remain a global #LifeSciences leader.

Pleased to join BioIndustry Association (BIA)'s #UKSciencesReg conf today. Especially good to hear Department of Health and Social Care Minister Merron recognise clinical research has not been enough of a priority but that "this ends now"

Lots of interesting discussion at the launch for this earlier today - and strong message from Professor Chris Whitty that it's unethical for health data custodians not to share it where patient/public benefit is clear.

I remember a press release on the shocking 2019/20 data that got zero pick up - it was deeply depressing. This progress is testament to determination, focus and how high-qual data can shine a light on injustice in health and support the vital case for driving change.

It was brilliant to join Teenage Cancer Trust at this important roundtable. Especially powerful to hear from young people with experiencing of participating in trials - centring their perspective made for a really rich discussion.
