Growing up, there were many athletes that I idolized, perhaps none morseo that Jaromir Jagr. A few months ago we raised his jersey to the rafters, tonight we were honored for our work and that wonderful ceremony. 🫡 🏆

13 years ago I was hired to create a behind the scenes show following the x - Pittsburgh Penguins. In The Room was born. After an incredibly successful 12 year run, the show’s final episode aired over a year ago. Tonight, that episode won an Emmy. So proud of the team & what we built.

Young athletes can learn from this, a legendary career is coming to an end, but he is still creating new fans by opening up on a human level. It is that emotional connection that resonates and humanizes these superstars, it's what turns them from athletes into brands.

This is a personal story but it’s a powerful one. Thanks to everyone who has served our country, especially my grandfathers.
