Well that budget didn't help at all did it Mark Spencer ? A freeze to alcohol duty is welcome but isn't going to make a jot of difference to the massive rising costs we're facing. Energy up 119% since 2019, April wage increase is crippling. Raw material increases staggering.

Getting tired of these prepack administration's: They leave HMRC tax debt for the tax payer to pay. Supplier debt passed on in higher prices for all. Business value across the sector diminishes. Industry credit risk increases leading to lower chances of lending. Grossly unfair.

Sobering thought: across our 7 pubs, the impact of the April NLW increase is the equivalent of the entire annual payroll cost of our smallest site. Combine that with our utilities being 119% higher than the same point precovid and you can see why it's tough for pubs.
