Second up was Subira Jones with her TEDx talk: Bye Burnout! Fireproof your career’ Subira.Jones Subira gave the audience an initial heartfelt story of unwellness, stress & burnout followed by her decision to overcome adversity & defeat by taking control of her life❤️🎤🔴

Carole Pyke: TEDx talk entitled: ‘Freedom in forgetting; Memory loss, essence found’ Carole shared with the audience her diagnosis of retrograde amnesia meaning that she, unlike many of us, she doesn’t have a life memory of her past since the age of 56.

Lyn Roseaman eagerly and passionately emphasised what loneliness looks like in the face of global change, TEDx talk entitled: ‘Reach out & smash the loneliness pandemic’ Now You're Talking Like all of our talks, Lyn’s is one to watch and will be available on YouTube soon.

Pascale Spall, our seamstress unsurprising delivered a TEDx talk entitled: ‘The thread that connects us all’ From a needle & thread to creating beautiful clothe couched in distance memories, Pascale did not hold back her delight and passion for sowing & fabrics. 🔴🎤

Yvonne Philip blessed the TEDx Lewisham stage with her talk entitled: ‘How I found my kind of enough to live a life without apology’ The Success Stylist Yvonne spoke about her experiences ‘of not being good enough’ as a daughter, friend, mother, employee & business owner.

Paul Aladenike, our corporate leader had our audience in fits of laughter with his analogy of giving a TEDx talk from HMP 😄. Talk entitled: ‘How leaders show kindness in toxic space’ Paul described situations where his ‘kindness’ proved to be a great solution in the workplace

Penultimately, Becca Benning delivered to our audience a powerful talk entitled: ‘Every day ways to love a struggling body’ @becca_benningchc Becca who suffered from multiple episodes of unwellness finally decided to take control of her mind, body & soul 👏💖🔴🎤

Ronke Kokoruwe closed our event with her TEDx talk entitled: ‘The Kindness Manifesto’ Ronke was privileged to have run the London Marathon on 23 April 2023 describing within her talk the kindness shown to her by another runner. iVerbalize
