Our latest discovery from #Tintern Abbey, a tile of Richard, Earl of Cornwall, King of the Romans (b.1209-d.1272). Henry III, Richard’s brother, gave him Cornwall in 1225 as a 16th birthday present, and was elected King of Germany in 1257. Black Mountains Arch Cadw Cadw

Here’s a 3D survey of a ruined two-storey stone house on the eastern shore of Loch Pooltiel, nr Glendale, Skye. No HER info. Could this be a 19th century fishing net barking house? Historic Scotland #archaeology #historicbuildings #3dsurvey #photogrammetry p3d.in/5x20C

Big thanks to Black Mountains Arch for the guided tour around the engine house compound. Truly amazing discoveries on the site: images show furnaces, flues leading to the chimney & rail track route. We had no idea quite how many remains we have been walking over these past few years!
