The summer wave is coming to the UK & there hasn’t been a single mention of it in ANY of the NHS or management communications to the doctors here. Far from it, our managers are telling us we are “post-Covid” / “post-pandemic”.

I don’t think people ‘get it’ when it comes to asymptomatic transmission. We’ve known since early 2020 that people without symptoms—either because they haven’t developed them yet or never will—can still spread disease. But health systems around the world keep making the same

Wes Streeting Beat Covid? What are you talking about? We have outbreaks across 6 of our major hospital wards right now, it’s total chaos. Any wonder when you frame it as ‘over’. Patients are dying from Covid right now & others becoming disabled because of this rhetoric & your incompetence

[27 Jun 2025] Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus at WHO media briefing: “We cannot talk about COVID-19 in the past tense. Although the crisis has passed, the virus remains. It continues to evolve, it continues to kill, and millions of people continue to live with post COVID-19 condition or long COVID.”

According to Matt Hancock the only people who care that he lied to the country about care home residents being safe are "campaign groups" and "politically motivated bodies". We asked for the truth. We got insults.

Oh the things you learn. 1. 21 managers at Thames Water 💧 were paid a bonus back in April out of an emergency fund supposed to be used to keep the company running. The same managers are also due to get another bonus in December this year and June next year. 2. The Secretary of

Given COVID is an AIRBORNE virus, I wonder if NHS Grampian are implementing any IPC measures to protect against AIRBORNE transmission? 😷FFP3 respirators? 💨 HEPA air filters? 🪟 Open windows? Or are they dogmatically hoping that a bit of hand washing will stop the spread?

Every winter, the NHS literally CHOOSES this situation. It’s a choice. There are many simple measures they could implement to reduce all infectious disease, eg respirators, air filters, ventilation, testing, separate waiting rooms, etc. But they won’t do it. It’s a choice.
