A single Bruckner recording for the desert island? It would have to be Haitink's live performance of the Eighth Symphony with the Staatskapelle Dresden. An interpretation brimming with elemental power and beauty of expression. Happy 200th birthday Anton Bruckner!

Symphony 00 of Bruckner is probably the least "Brucknerian" of his symphonies, but is a great and, in my opinion, very underrated. A great performance is by Georg Tintner.

From earlier this June at an event of the Hippocratic Cancer Research Foundation. The gala this coming November will be a great one and will involve supporters flying from all over the world to support our efforts against cancer.

And here I ordered a book from Greece that finally arrived. It cost 5 times more of what it would cost to buy it in a bookstore in Athens. But this is an important historic documentary and really wanted to get it.

There is no question that Dr. Karen Knudsen Karen Knudsen, MBA PhD has been the most impactful leader in the history of the American Cancer Society Society. A great leader with strong vision, who has made a big difference in the fight against cancer.
