We welcome the Casey Commission launch. For it to be a success, the government must commit further adult #SocialCare funding in the Spending Review. Without major investment alongside reform, disabled people will continue to be deprived of essential support to live their lives.

#SocialCare is a core part of our nation’s infrastructure, an investment in Britain’s economic growth. Most importantly, it's an investment in the lives of #Disabled & older people, their families & our communities. Welfare reform proposals will raise levels of poverty amongst #Disabled households. As part of the Disability Charities Consortium we’ve written to Liz Kendall & Rachel Reeves -we need a cross-government strategy to lift disabled people out of poverty. bit.ly/43DAAzb

Based on the #PriceCap, high energy use households who rely on energy to support their health condition or #Disability will have paid £714+ more in the last year than average use households. So why is the government planning to cut access to lifeline disability benefits?

#Disabled people aren't letting the Government carry out its proposed cuts to benefits without a fight. Read their letter to Keir Starmer & Liz Kendall and join the voices telling them it's time to stop #TakingThePip. takingthepip.co.uk

We know that life costs more for disabled people. And @Scope's 2025 #DisabilityPriceTag report shows that the costs are spiralling. Read the full Price Tag report on Scope’s website: scope.org.uk/campaigns/disa…

Yesterday, thanks to over 2000 campaigners who sent invitations, we welcomed MPs to our #ShowUsYouCare event in Parliament. Our attendees heard about the 3.5 million people unable to get the support they need and how we can work together to change this. (1/5)
