Amazing story ... Michael McGowan (Michael McGowan), son of former PGA Tour player Pat and grandson of Peggy Kirk Bell and former UNC Men's Golf player, qualifies for U.S. Open at Pinehurst Resort. McGowan shot 68-71 at Dallas Athletic Club on Monday to earn spot in final field.
