When I was elected to RCN Council 2021-2022 it felt like a closed shop characterised by personal agendas, backroom deals, and needless rivalry - it was chaotic and not a psychologically safe space.

We are at the stage now where we cannot treat some bacterial infections

We are already having these conversations;

'Sorry, but we simply have no antibiotics that can treat this'

Many can barely leave their houses, let alone go straight back to work.

Employers aren't always understanding but their GPs are. GPs having this capacity is vital to mental health.
