Good luck to Brad & the team who are climbing Ben Nevis today to raise funds in support of Rhys Langford, age 19, who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in 2020. Sadly, Rhys won’t be able to fulfil his dream of climbing Ben Nevis, so his friends are taking on the challenge for him🧑

This evening we are truly saddened to hear of the passing of Rhys Langford, a true hero in every sense. Rhys was 19 and was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in 2020. Our thoughts are with all Rhys’s family at this difficult time.

We are honoured to share the incredible story of one of our trustees, Laurence Whiteley MBE. Instead of letting this disability define him, he chose to embark on a remarkable journey in parasport rowing, ultimately becoming a Paralympic champion! #DisabilityActionYorkshire

We recently sat down with Nick Moxon - a customer of Disability Action Yorkshire and discussed all things parasport. Nick has been disabled since birth and uses a powered chair. He struggled for years to find a sport that was right for him - until one day he discovered Boccia.

We recently had the privilege of chatting with our trustee, Laurence Whiteley! Our conversation covered Laurence’s inspiring journey and how he is using his platform to promote accessibility in parasports and be a source of encouragement for others. #DisabilityActionYorkshire

Recently we met Nick Moxon, who resides at our Claro Road Residential site. Nick, who uses a powered chair has decided to pay tribute to his dearest friend, Colin who is sadly no longer with us by taking part in a Boccia tournament in November. Good luck, Nick!
