There was great excitement & enthusiasm in #LintonOnOuse this evening when Home Office and Serco officials arrived to rapturous applause. Just thrilling to have them among us! Apparently Priti Patel will coming soon, so I shall be dusting off my autograph book.

During today's Home Office statement, I once again called on the Government to recognise that Linton-on-Ouse is not the right location for this site and residents' safety must be paramount.

Camps destroy lives. People seeking sanctuary should be welcomed as our neighbours.
