VENCEREMOS already making a new friend in her post race track life. Although I’m disappointed the racehorse career was not her calling, I’m happy to get her off the track sound and ready to transition to a new life.

3 years ago today, bringing one of my favourite mares Oheavens to the paddock on closing weekend. Hoping for a safe and successful closing day for everyone Woodbine Racetrack, can’t wait to be back in April

Venceremos left for her new home today. Unfortunately the odds were stacked against her being a racehorse from the start, and although I took a shot I was more than happy to retire her sound and happy and get her to a good home where she can prosper.

Trevor Simpson, a regular jockey on the Alberta B circuit of Lethbridge and Grande Prairie, just won the 4th at Aqueduct on a 42-1 shot. I doubt there are many guys on that circuit who can say they’ve ever ridden a NYRA race, let alone won one.
