Eir provide another fine example of how firms in Oligopoly treat their customers. Staff were told not to process complaints unless customers used certain 'trigger words' which indicated they were aware of their rights or aware of regulations.

There has been a big rise in profits for Tesco over the last twelve months. They made a profit of £2.3 billion on sales of £68 billion last year and maintained their market share in the face of fierce competition from the likes of Aldi and Lidl. #60secondeconomics

Firms in high-concentration Oligopoly can treat customers however they like, safe in the knowledge that there is little choice available. Bank of Ireland's recent directive telling customers to buy a new phone or else, is a good example of this.
