Academic colleagues who work in areas concerned with research methodologies have a duty to speak up here. The Cass Review's methods are horrendously flawed. Yet it is being passed off as an 'independent report' that should be taken seriously. Integrity matters.

It’s not a double standard. *There are no standards*. The process is:

- The press demand a crackdown

- The machine roars into life to provide pretext and plan

- Everyone decides to endorse the results *when the inquiry is announced*
