Excellent interview MG! One that every NDP leadership candidate, currently elected NDP official federal AND provincial- and every candidate hopeful should listen to. It may also be validating for members and former electeds who've offered similar gems of wisdom but were ignored.

Groceries are too high, and instead of tackling the issue, they focus-grouped renaming an existing tax credit program and a time-limited increase. Canadians won't notice the effects of this, but technocrats will check the affordability crisis off their list.

“Can I bring my baby to the interview?” The message came in at 11 PM: “Hi, I have an interview with you tomorrow at 2 PM. My childcare fell through. Can I bring my 8-month-old? I understand if you need to reschedule.” Old me would have rescheduled. Unprofessional. Distraction.

A public inquiry is actually a good idea. With 118 Vice Presidents at Metrolinx, we know an internal review on wasted tax dollars and inefficiencies would go no where.

Axing the majority of grants desperately needed by post secondary students signals Fords sprint towards meritocracy. Meritocracy ignores systemic barriers and focuses solely on the individual's 'talent' Ford's punishing students for those barriers. He just doesnt get it. Smh.

Let's just say it: UNIVERSITY SHOULD BE FREE FOR THOSE WHO QUALIFY as it is in many wealthy countries and by actually requiring the wealthy to pay the % what most Canadians pay we could afford it

Today would have been our 1rst day back in parliament since Dec 12th. I certainly would have been asking about the increase in water-taking permit approvals by the MOE, the impact of new planning rules & the on-going infrastructure funding deficit. Just for starters... #onpoli

“Ontario has incredible potential, but potential doesn’t create jobs, investment does. Businesses don’t need more spin or empty promises. They need a govt that is willing to invest in people, in skills, & in the foundations of growth before more opportunities slip away.” #onpoli

The American Hockey player Layla Edwards who won Gold didn’t have enough money to bring her parents with her to the Olympics so someone started her a Go Fund me and it raised $60 thousand with $10 thousand of that from Jason and Travis Kelce!

The Conservatives are now desperately trying to outdo the Liberals’ anti-migrant policies by denying essential healthcare to migrants and refugees. Thank you to my NDP colleague Jenny Kwan for speaking the truth: this is nothing but preying on the most vulnerable for political

"Housing starts in 2025 totalled 65,400, the lowest number of annual starts since 2014." - fao-on.org/en/report/oem-… Ford, the housing crisis is still here. Its clear your govt's current strategy is not working. Try listening to tenants, home owners, and unhoused folks. #onpoli

If you are concerned about the water crisis our community is facing, please watch this excellent presentation from (ROW) hydrologist. We have been over-pumping for 3 years & the aquifer needs to rest. Operating as we currently are is not an option. #onpoli ctvnews.ca/kitchener/vide…
