Hamas attacked #Israel in a brutal act against civilians. Israeli citizens have been taken hostage. I deeply condemn those acts of violence and feel for the victims and their families! We stand in solidarity with the Israeli government and the steps it is taking to respond.

I presented all the BG state efforts towards Schengen to Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, Chairman of the parliamentary Friendship Group ‘Austria-Romania and Bulgaria’ Harald Troch and the Chairman of the European Affairs Committee Reinhold Lopatka.

Strong messages of unity and historic chance of enlargement by President of European Commission Ursula Ursula von der Leyen. And indeed #Bulgaria and Romania should finally become part of #Schengen . Without any further delay!

Bulgaria needs a stable pro-EU government to work for Schengen, Eurozone accession, and true judicial reform to counter pro-Russian interference. Attempts to use unauthorized recordings of private political meetings to provoke institutional chaos will not succeed.
