Me reading this thread

At Institute for Justice, we've run across a shocking number of #WrongHouseRaid and #WrongPersonArrest cases. For now, I can't really say what's more troubling: (1) that these things seem relatively common or (2) that courts readily deny the innocent victims a remedy. Hopefully, not this time:

Unbelievable. If the objective of laws is to get people to follow them we need to start thinking about better ways to punish governmental incompetence than expensive civil suits 2 years after the fact.
