Solo field trip this a.m. to the fab Anderson's Bookshops LaGrange. Picked up BLENDED Sharon M. Draper & SMALL SPACES Katherine Arden. Today was also our first student library committee mtg: BLENDED claimed right away. Can't wait for SMALL SPACES to meet our (many) fans of scary!
Just finished THE BOOK OF BOY by Catherine Gilbert Murdock Greenwillow Books. Wow. Spare, heart-stirring page-turner. Couldn't agree more with @FuseEight "a sheer pleasure to read". blogs.slj.com/afuse8producti…
Met the engaging Dan Gemeinhart Anderson's Bookshops La Grange last nt. for his latest THE REMARKABLE JOURNEY OF COYOTE SUNRISE. Thanks for also sharing your wool-gathering moment that led to SCAR ISLAND ("All the grown-ups are dead and gone...And that's just how we like it.")
Heard today that the Nordland 4th graders loved THE REMARKABLE JOURNEY OF COYOTE SUNRISE Dan Gemeinhart so much they APPLAUDED at the conclusion of their teacher's read-aloud #innovate28 Westmoor Library
Shout-out to Rebecca Stowell (she/her/mom) for the cool math vids. From my perch here in the library, I get to see how Ss/Ts engage with the rotating probs. A Kohrs 1st grader knocked me out with her "EFCH" theory: EFH are made of straight lines and C is a curved line! What do u see? #innovate28
Thanks Carter Goodrich for our new prickly friend Hank. Always love my annual summer visit to Horizon Books in Traverse City. Their picture book section never disappoints.
Meant to tell u Indianapolis Public Library The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation: the badge ribbon was AWESOME this year. Made my 2019 Gen Con.
We love seeing Kevin Winters don his Pied Piper of Picture Books hat. Ss crowd in to get his personalized recommendations! Westmoor Library #loveofreading #bookwhisperer
Nonfiction by text structure with book list! A Monday present for you Grigolo Janet Adkisson Lisa Nordland 😀
So. Fun. Way to create Ms. Greene!!
Elements of Star Wars and Firefly grounded in vivid, warm family relationships. I loved STOWAWAY by John David Anderson. Fair warning: it's book one 😉
Do you know what you’re looking at? BOOK VENDING MACHINES. Book vending machines with my art on them! Every elementary school in Stoughton, MA, got one of these and they chose to “wrap” them all with some of my drawings. Too cool. Thanks, Eileen Sprague, for having the idea!
