You won’t be a great leader on accident.

Do the work.

Stop making excuses for average thinking and average living. You’re better than that. Call yourself up to a higher standard.

Reject average. Show up on purpose. Pursue your potential.

Your fear of what others think is limiting your potential.

Free yourself. Go live.

The more you do it, the less you fear it.

Inaction is paralyzing. Consistent action builds confidence and momentum.

Every successful person you know has failed more than every other person you know.

They just didn't let failure stop them.

It's part of the process, a data point, a chapter in the story.

It's only the end if you decide it is. Keep going.

Working with leaders for over 10 years, here are the 2 things I've found undermine and limit their potential the most:

Lack of self-awareness
Self-preservation

Focus on those two areas and watch your influence and effectiveness increase.

Adversity always seems overwhelming in the moment.

Once past it, we tend to look back and see how adversity made us better and was a necessary catalyst for change and growth.

The challenge is to own your perspective to see the opportunity in the midst of adversity.
