HB 5 it’s self is a dangerous bill. It will not make us any safer. However the biggest threat and danger is the lack of fiscal responsibility and accountability within it.

I often get infuriated w/ politicians regardless of party affiliation. I always wonder why we elect them & they never seem 2 fight 4 us.

But then someone comes along like Rep. Rep. Keturah Herron who brings hope back into politics. Her integrity, her morals & values give me hope.

Continuing the #JCOCCC ’s 2024 celebration of Women’s History Month, we salute the Hon. Rep. Keturah Herron, a youth & justice advocate, former policy strategist for the ACLU of Kentucky & the first openly LGBTQ+ person elected to the Kentucky House of Representatives.

Kentucky’s youth need to be held accountable for violence committed and harm done in community. However creating policy that is not based in data is a policy failure and a disgrace to humanity.

HB 551 is a victim’s advocacy bill. There are many layers to ending gun violence and I believe this is one layer we should remove now. Let’s get cold cases solved and give families the answers they have been waiting for.
