i'm instantly turned off by a man that has very negative opinions about women even if it doesn't apply to me. something very nasty and misogynistic about that spirit that never sat well with me.

When Africa becomes prosperous, racism against Black people everywhere will drop dramatically. That's not wishful thinking, you can actually watch this pattern play out in history. The Japanese were heavily discriminated against in America until Japan became an economic power.

As a Nigerian, while this may reflect progress on our part. I am not comfortable to be the demography used to talk down on African Americans. The circumstances surrounding both are different. In the larger system, we are mostly seen from the same lens if not worse. Rhetoric like

You mean the conversation feminists have been screaming about for the past decade that we were called bitter for? Okay.

Even as a feminist woman, you have to remind yourself frequently that marriage (especially to a rich man) will not save you. You don’t beat indoctrination simply by being aware of it.
