I love grading empirical papers, because I see the students' personalities in their writing and formatting choices. It makes me chuckle. I find myself saying a lot of, "Yes, Jane, YES!" and "No, John, why did you do that?"

I am back in South Korea for two weeks. Remote work for 1 week, vacation for 1 week. I've missed this place!

Agree. I've been confused by some of these discussions, because we worried about students cheating on HW, take-home exams, essays, etc. before the ChatGPT era. I know it's *different* now, but we've been battling Google/the internet for years.

I got invited to speak at one of the UMaine Women in Econ group meetings this semester and I've never felt more cool.
