.Marqueece Harris-Dawson LA City Council LA must take action to PAUSE ALL RENT INCREASES starting in February while we have PERMANENT lower rents! Council President Marqueece, meet with your constituents struggling to stay housed #keeplahoused Keep LA Housed

Rent is out of control LA! Los Angeles ACCE members and Keep LA Housed partners rallied outside City Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson's Marqueece Harris-Dawson office today and delivered a letter demanding his support for much needed reforms to LA's Rent Stabilization Ordinance (LARSO).

Keep LA Housed Marqueece Harris-Dawson New rent hikes go into effect in Feb., so we need City Council to ACT NOW! KLAH is demanding an updated formula to LARSO, including a 3% rent cap, no floor and an end to "rent banking" to make LARSO less favorable to landlords, more fair to tenants and improve housing stability.

The main thing that would help the whole community of #Altadena and #Pasadena right now, which the City Council could address quickly, is a temporary FREEZE on EVICTIONS AND RENT INCREASES - Op-ed by Ryan Bell 🇵🇸 of Tenants Together pasadenanow.com/main/guest-opi…

These are NOT “housing providers,” these HOUSING SCAMMERS! Landlords are the biggest looters profiting and living off WORKING CLASS TENANTS ALREADY RENT BURNED IN LA! .LA City Council update the severely OUTDATED LA rent stabilization ordinance (LARSO) formula & STOP EVICTIONS!

We’re back at City Hall with the Keep LA Housed coalition, as well as a number of “Housing Providers” who seem to be heavily impacted by the prospect of not making quite as much money off the backs of poor and working Angelenos as they’re already making.

Housing scammers and looters at it again at the Housing & Homelessness Committee mtg LA City Council! It’s a shame that a month later since the catastrophic fires, and we still don’t have protections to keep the most vulnerable housed and protected!

Last night, more than 100 Los Angeles renters from Council Districts 8 and 10 attended a town hall meeting hosted by the Keep LA Housed Coalition. KLAH is asking L.A. City Council to cap annual rent increases at 3% *max* for rent stabilized apartments: bit.ly/4iQh9I5
