I’m on the job market! My work centers on community engaged research with Indigenous communities in an effort to reduce violence & create programming for victims. I’m also committed to the mentorship of students through empowerment and self-advocacy! I’d love to connect!

Today we recognize and honor Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples (MMIP) Awareness Day. We are proud to support the ASU Research on Violent Victimization Lab Lab and its work focused on MMIP and reducing victimization and empowering Indigenous peoples.

The Supreme Court’s decision to protect the Indian Child Welfare Act is truly historic. Over the past 6 months alone, lawmakers across several states passed ICWA laws, just to ensure Native children could stay with Native families in child welfare cases.

I'm finalizing my readings for my graduate-level inequality and crime class for the spring and I would love some suggestions for articles or books focused on gender and crime. Does anyone in my network have some must-reads?

Selection bias occurs when respondents are non-randomly selected into a sample, leading to errors in generalization. It makes zero sense to apply the logics of randomization to qualitative research b/c the goal is not generalization.
