I dont think #POTS experts realise how all-consuming the first line treatments can be:

🚰Drink loads of water...that you can't retain because part of POTS is water-retaining endocrine dysfunction (and going to toilet every 30 minutes with orthostatic intolerance is a breeze 🙄)

Sick of being made to feel like a fraud and a failure for just wanting to try and find a half decent quality of life in this shithole country & society.

Can I just say that getting disability benefits is sooooooo difficult. Even with the diagnoses and doctor’s notes. I don’t think it is possible to play the system. Most disabled people do not get enough financial or physical support.

The really wild thing is that for a lot of disabled people, PIP is what enables us to set up our lives so we *can* work

PIP isn’t even fit for purpose as it is.

It’s nowhere near enough for many people, doesn’t actually cover some critical things (like cleaning), and you have to be reassessed even if you have a condition that will never improve.

So you remove our rights, put housing beyond our reach, make it obvious our hard work only enriches a few at the top, impoverish our environment, trash our futures, and profiteer through the worst pandemic in a century...

... then punish us for having poor mental health?
