“I think it’s all in her head.” Someone new on my team said about a patient. I don’t talk sternly much at work, because I don’t believe in scolding people. But this time I said: “We do NOT talk like that about patients anymore. Especially if you’d like to work on my team.”

My experience has been that when a politician speaks like this with disregard and disrespect it fuels hate and #hate crimes towards the population he is disparaging. The fact so many people clapped at his statement is appalling.

Every time something catastrophic happens, I think about disabled people who rely on devices and can’t move Is actually horrendous that we don’t have specialized evacuation protocol, so many people don’t make it because of ableism.

BREAKING: Ford govt votes NO to universal access to mental health care in Ontario! Unbelievable. You should only need your health card, NOT your credit card! Folks shouldn't have to abandon therapy because they can't afford it.
