Today’s Montour High School #BSU Career Speaker featured a powerful talk with George Barron, VP for Univ. Advancement La Roche University. His story as a #firstgen student resonated with many, and his path of getting into the field of nonprofit fundraising was a neat learning experience!

Today’s guests of Montour High School #BSU Career Speaker Series were two Comcast leaders: DeShane Hambrick & Marcus Woodard. They shared various #telecommunications pathways, from installing fiber lines to designing apps to analyzing data— the field has a place for every skillset.

We were honored to welcome City of City of Pittsburgh Senior Planner, Adriana Bowman, to speak with our Montour High School students about a career in urban planning. Her insights on shaping equitable, vibrant communities left our students inspired and thinking big about their futures! 💫

As part of Montour High School #BSU Career Speaker Series, we learned about school counseling from activist and counseling champion, Alicia Oglesby. Counselors support students with academics, career planning, and personal challenges and help plan for your future after high school.

The Coraopolis NAACP held their annual ACT-SO program Robert Morris University. Students in grades 9-12 competed in categories in the Humanities, Performing Arts, and Visual Arts. We had great representation from Montour this year! Congratulations to medal winners Kim, Eunice, Elaina and Brielle!
